Ani-anihan Festival

Ani-anihan Festival, derived from the word “Ani”, meaning harvest, is Tabuelan’s artistic demonstration of immense joy and enthusiasm in gratitude to God, through the intercession of the town’s Patron Saint, St. John the Baptist, for the town and its people’s sustainability bountiful agri-crop production. Inevitably, reaching the myriad of success of Tabuelan’s agri-industry was far from quick and easy because it had its own share of struggles and had been confronted with bold challenges like pest infestation, natural calamities, and other agri-related menaces. Featuring the colorfully dressed performers in vibrant street dancing, reflective ritual presentation, and resounding chants, the Ani-anihan Festival offers a wonderful time for thanksgiving. Tabuelanons near and far come together in merriment for the continuous enjoyment of nature’s bounty.
