HINATDAN FESTIVAL

“Ginatilan” is associated with the word “Hinatdan”, derived from the Cebuano word “Hatod” which defines bringing the values of faith, progress, care for the land and the seas to people near and far. Above all, it is the birth place and home town of the second Filipino saint, San Pedro Calungsod. “Hinatdan” etymologically implies “to bring” or “endowed” which can be manifested in the natural endowments of the town such as fertile plains and farmlands, diverse marine and aquatic resources, warm and hospitable natives, a booming economy, ushering in holistic development in many fields, making Ginatilan self-reliant and progressive.
