About the event
Karansa Festival is celebrated in honor of Sto. Tomas de Villanueva every 3rd Sunday of September. The festival is characterized by a very long parade with several groups of performers dressed in colorful costumes. All groups will compete in the ritual showdown competition right after the parade Karansa means to dance, celebrate and be merry. Official steps: karag , kurog, kiay, karahay.
