About the event
The Kaumahan Festival is a dance ritual in thanksgiving for bountiful harvests. It portrays the collective consciousness of the people as being subsumed in deep religious piety. The whole performance illustrates the way of life of the people. Kaumahan is a festival or revelry and merrymaking showing Barili’s agricultural products. This merrymaking activity is shown through dancing in the streets to the beat of the drum.
