Sanggi Festival

The Sanggi festival is intended to showcase the socio-cultural and religious aspect of the lives of Taboganons. With locals predominantly engaged in farming, “Sanggi” begins with sweat but ends with tears of joy and gratitude. The town’s patron saint, San Isidro Labrador, is also a farmer. Sanggi is not “individual effort”, it is the embodiment of a community working together to achieve success- a community that joins hands in labor and community that holds hands raised up high in thanksgiving.
