SIKOY-SIKOY FESTIVAL

Sikoy-sikoy Festival is derived from the colloquial term for “panikoy”- a fishing practice by which fishermen throw the nets in rough and sturdy waves. Through this method, flying fishes in various species such as barungoy and laniw are caught. As a whole, Sikoy-Sikoy Festival is a celebration of God’s gift of love and blessings to the San Fernandohanons through the intercession of the town’s Patron Saint, San Isidro Labrador – the people’s guide, inspiration and protector.
