About the event
The “Soli-Soli” is a type of grass that grows only on the banks of Lake Danao. This grass is used to make a variety of products such as local mats known as “banig”, bags, hats and many more. The production of these native products serves as the primary livelihood of the people of San Francisco. The Soli-soli Festival is celebrated every third Sunday of March in honor of the town’s patron saint, St. Joseph.
