About DOT Region VII

The regional office of the Philippine Department of Tourism for Central Visayas — Cebu and Bohol.

Who we are

The Department of Tourism (DOT) shall be the primary government agency charged with the responsibility to encourage, promote, and develop tourism as a major socio-economic activity to generate foreign currency and employment and to spread the benefits of tourism to both the private and public sector.

As Central Visayas' primary tourism authority, DOT Region VII collaborates with government, industry, and communities to advance sustainable and globally competitive tourism through destination marketing, product development, investment promotion, quality assurance, tourism standards, and stakeholder capacity-building, strengthening the region's appeal to domestic and international travelers.

The region

Every traveler is searching for something different. Some are drawn to the vibrant energy of bustling cities, while others find meaning in nature's quiet moments, thrilling adventures, or authentic cultural encounters. In Central Visayas, you never have to choose. Home to Bohol and Cebu, the region offers two distinct island experiences that complement one another. Cebu captivates with its dynamic urban lifestyle, rich heritage, world-class connectivity, thriving MICE industry, and coastal adventures. Bohol invites travelers to slow down through iconic natural wonders, immersive countryside experiences, wellness escapes, and living traditions. More than neighboring destinations, they create one seamless journey where every visit reveals something new. Come for the city, stay for the islands, and leave with every reason to visit again — because in Central Visayas, there's always more waiting for your next visit.
